Remnant Storms

Their Body suddenly being overwhelmed with dread: A storm was fast approaching. The winds and rain will not show mercy to anyone strolling around in the open. But their body responds with flight: Quickly they rush towards the nearby settlement. It might not guarantee safety, but it will increase the odds of surviving this wave of torment. They can hear the winds behind them picking up in strength as they run for shelter. But in mere moments thunder was crashing down, heavy raindrops were piercing their clothes, tornados formed and the wind pushed them in all directions. The weather changed in a matter of seconds, how could this be?? They knew how to avoid these ferocious winds, and yet it might have been too late from the start. Flight kicked in again: They kept running, hoping to make it out one way or another by taking the risk of avoiding other houses in favour of a sturdy building made of bricks and concrete; surely it must stand firm! They sprinted toward what seemed like a garage, wasting no time to close the entrance. They were safe. But their heart kept racing and the feeling of dread didn’t fade. Something wasn’t right. A loud bang could be heard. Before they knew where it came from, stones fell from above. The roof closed in- Then they woke up.
